For China citizens
Description
China citizens, who live in Japan or countries other than People's Republic of China, should prepare and submit the
following documents and also two extra photocopies of the documents with an application fee of NTD$600
(New Taiwan dollars) to Taipei Economic and Cultural Office. Note that (1) documents 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8
will provided by the host university (i.e., National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology),
(2) please also carry the valid China passport with you when submit the application materials,
(3) it usually takes 14 days to get the Taiwan entrance permit (so Local Organizing Committee suggests that one should submit the
application materials at least 4 weeks in advance), (4) although the attached info says that they should
submit their application materials at the 3rd country (e.g., Japan) and also at Taiwan, Local Organizing
Committee thinks that it is easier to just submit all application materials at the 3rd country.
Please also carefully read extra instructions or
Immigration Agency web site.
As for Chinese citizens who currently live in China, they should mail me the above application documents 1, 3, 9,
and 10, and also the application fee NTD$600 (Local Organizing Committee could pay for them in advance, so they can pay
the fee back to Local Organizing Committee when they arrive). Then Local Organizing Committee will submit their application materials at Taiwan for them.
After Local Organizing Committee gets and mails the Taiwan entrance permits back to them, they still need to
apply their permit for visiting Taiwan from their government (that may also take another 2 weeks, so Local
Organizing Committee suggests that they should send the committee their application materials at least 5~6
weeks in advance).
Please also carefully read extra instructions or
Immigration Agency web site.
